This index contains the names of over 500 individuals for whom a notice of death was published and a claim entered for the Family Protective Association, a member benefit of the Rebekah Lodge fraternal association and other Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) organizations.
The Family Protective Association claim card indicates the person was a member of that order at the time of death. Researchers can utilize this information to seek more details about the individual in the organization’s records, or use the vital information to search other sources such as directories, deed records, obituaries, etc.
This collection contains claim cards from 17 Feb 1936 (claim #2) to 30 Sept 1984 (claim #521).
The following original claim cards are missing from this collection, however some handwritten index cards were inserted in place of the original claim card prior to us receiving this collection.
