The Nebraska Methodist Story (1854-1954)
Authorized Centennial History of Nebraska Methodism
by Dr. Everett E. Jackman

Jackman, a Methodist pastor born in Louisville, wrote the conference’s own account of its first hundred years. The title page names the Historical Society as publisher and lists its trustees. An errata slip, dated April 30, 1960, corrects names and captions, including the first Methodist Episcopal Church in Lincoln and a Nebraska Wesleyan library date.

This copy is inscribed “Sincerely yours, Everett E. Jackman” to Opal Rowan, the same date as the errata stamp. It was later a Lyman Public Library book. The pocket, card, and a “purchased from book sale of Lyman Library” slip are still in the front. Blue cloth, gilt church on the cover, rubbed at the edges. No ISBN.

It is a church history, not a county mug-book. Researchers use it for pastors, charges, and institutions.
