Minatare Free Press

The Minatare Free Press newspaper actually began its existence as The Sentinel in what we believe to be the week of Sept 15, 1904. To the best of our knowledge ownership of the paper at the time the name change took place remained with Worth M. Miller. We are not sure why he decided to change the name of the paper but he carried The Sentinel sub-title, including separate volume and issue numbers until January 1913 at which time the paper assumed the lone title of the Minatare Free Press. Volume #1, Issue #1 of the Minatare Free Press was on Feb 20, 1908, the final issue was published on November 19, 1964.

Are copies of the Minatare Free Press available for the years after 1959 until the paper was discontinued? I graduated from MHS in 1960 and would like to see papers for that year and any others that might be accessible. Thank You , Diana Copsey, Denver —

Yes, we do have the Minatare Free Press digitized for the years 1959 thru 1963, we just need to take the time to post them on our website. Will try and get that done soon……Floyd
