The Torrington Telegram was established as a weekly newspaper by owner and publisher E.E. Haring on Thursday, October 7, 1907. The paper remained a weekly print publication until _______ at which time it was expanded to become a bi-weekly publication with a Monday and Thursday press and print schedule.
“The Telegram” as its locally known as, merged with the Goshen County Journal in January 1926 and briefly ran with a combined masthead of The Torrington Telegram and Goshen County Journal. Eventually the Goshen County Journal subtitle was dropped from the masthead completely.
The Telegram continues today as a bi-weekly newspaper and is still being printed on Monday and Thursday. Their website can be found at https://torringtontelegram.com.
