The West Nebraska Family Research & History Center was founded and incorporated in January 2003 by Floyd Smith III; his research collection combined with that of Carole Tucker’s vast research collection formed the initial holdings of this institution which was then opened to the public on 1 March 2004. Since then we have grown to become one of the premier research facilities in Nebraska and the largest in the Nebraska panhandle. The Center is located in downtown Scottsbluff, Nebraska, one block off Broadway (Main St.).
